A word from the Minister

Ce programme, financé par le Groupe de la Banque Mondiale, vise à améliorer l'accès et l'utilisation de l'internet haut débit et des services numériques dans les pays bénéficiaires et prouve à suffisance l’engament de la Guinée pour la coopération et de développement du numérique. 

L'importance du Programme d'Intégration Numérique en Afrique de l'Ouest (DTfA/WARDIP) contribue au développement des télécommunications et du numérique en Afrique de l'Ouest, et particulièrement en Guinée. 

La Guinée a toujours joué son rôle de leader en matière de coopération internationale, on peut citer entre autres : 

  • sa présidence du groupe des 77 et de la Chine en 2021; 
  • sa contribution active à la défense des intérêts des pays du Sud face aux défis économiques et sociaux actuels. 

We welcome the promulgation of the decree authorizing ratification of the loan agreement between the Guinean State and the International Development Association (IDA) to finance the WARDIP-Guinea implementation program. This commitment testifies to the Guinean government's determination to make digital technology a lever for economic and social development.

WARDIP GUINEA

The Guinean Government, with the support of the World Bank, has decided to integrate the Digital Transformation Project for Africa / West Africa Regional Digital Integration Program (DTfA / WARDIP) with the aim of begin its digital transition initiated in 2010. This transition aims to further develop access to broadband, digital financial services and online services (e-Government).

  This component aims to establish a legal, regulatory and institutional framework conducive to the creation of a single digital market in West Africa.

Development and integration of the digital connectivity market

This sub-component supports the modernization of legal and regulatory frameworks to improve the competitiveness of the telecommunications market in Guinea. This includes supporting authorities to design and implement policies that facilitate access to broadband.

Development and integration of the data market

This component focuses on creating robust cybersecurity infrastructure to ensure data protection and trust in digital transactions across the region.
